Master Nursery
Bulb Food.
|
|
E. B. Stone Tomato & Vegetable Food
is formulated from quality natural organic ingredients for use throughout the vegetable garden as well as with soft fruits like strawberries. It will contribute to even plant growth without producing excessive foliage at the expense of fruit. The additional phosphorous helps to ensure the production of high quality fruits and vegetables. The calcium in our Tomato & Vegetable fertilizer aids in preventing disorders like blossom end rot and helps to correct acidic soil conditions. For superior produce, use our Flower & Vegetable Planting Mix with native soil when preparing your beds. |

Whether you chose from the two Asian designs, the rose motif, the butterfly and hummingbirds with trumpet vine or the purple floral bouquet, these gates will be a charming addition to your backyard getaway. We have 5 designs and colors represented throughout our nursery, but if they don’t quite catch your eye, you can select from a color board of stains of your choosing. Plant of the week: 'Streptocarpus.' |
Streptocarpus
(Cape Primrose) |
| Streptocarpus, sometimes known as “Cape Primrose” are not related to primroses but are actually a member of the Gesneriad family. This family also includes African Violets. Streptocarpus grow in wooded, shaded areas in the mountains of South Africa. These plants have been widely hybridized and there are numerous interesting and attractive varieties available, including shades of red, pink, lavender, purple and white. Streptocarpus are not subject to many pests or diseases which adds in making them a successful houseplant that can bloom virtually any time of the year.
|
WATER: Keep moist and never allow it to stand in water; needs good drainage |
LIGHT: Plenty of light, but no direct sun |
TEMPERATURE: Minimum temperature of 50 |
FERTILIZER: Feed every 2-4 weeks with a half strength liquid fertilizer. Over-fertilizing can damage the root system and cause browning of the leaves. |
* TIP: Removing spent blooms and the older leaves as they become unsightly is beneficial to promoting a healthier plant that can bloom more frequently. |
